JP15 for Drop Tunings?

Hello everyone! I am looking for a new guitar for Drop C tuning. I really love how JP15 and Majesty feels. But I did not have any chance to test them in Drop tunings. Scale length is fine for me, pickups are good. But the issue is I don't know if JP15 is a "suitable" guitar for Drop C? Also Ibanez JBM100 is another option for me. What would you recommend me? Thanks!

Up the string gauge and you'll be good to go.

25.5" scale is just fine for drop C. Most people I know use 11 gauge for that. I use the skinny top heavy bottom set for it. The Illuminator pickups in it are quite clear even when tuned that low. I do not think you will have a problem here.

John Petrucci himself used a JP15 in C tuning, as you can see in this video ("As I Am" is in C tuning):

So, if John himself can use a JP15 to play in C, it's certainly fine to play with drop tunings too (you know lower tunings and drop tunings are different things, right?).
