So.......the quilt top is changing that dramaticly from each guitar?
Makes me think about it again.

Yes...quilt tops in general will have discrepancies from one model to another. Add to that the fact that the top is roasted, and that leads to further variation (as I'm sure you've seen the tops range from light brown to dark brown).

Ordered mine last June.
Delivering was schedule to a months ago.
Its December now, and still no clue…..
Maybe another 4 weeks, maybe this and maybe that….
I'm a longtime fan of the JP's and had few in the past (which I sold to finance the 15) but honestly guys, this is not ok, this is really not ok.
We are not talking about a special custom made guitar, this JP15 is a standard mass production, it is not one of a kind and a guitar being built over and over again and again in a factory with the latest technology and specialist man power should not take so long to manufacture.
All the GAS I had back than for the 15 is long time gone and make we wonder now, do I still want this guitar, do I really want it / need it.
Sorry MM, I'm really pissed!

I know how you are feeling. I only bought 1 of my musicman basses new and im pretty sure i will never order a new one again. I had to wait 6 months for mine due to verry slow shipping and late ordering (both mistakes made by the inporter i guess) and for europe 6 months is seen as fast.... i really feel that in manny ways musicman focusses on the us market and forgets about other places. Over here the prices are 1/3 higher, waiting is twice as long, there is allmost no marketing and the dealer/distributor network is just weak.

If i order a new car to my specs i can get it faster than a stock musicman guitar, wich is weird to me...

Suhr has a 12-18 month waiting period. (I was recently quoted 14 months for a pro model)
Anderson was around 12 months last time I looked.

The JP series is the 2nd best selling signature guitar behind the Les Paul and the JP15 is a monster. I'm sure the instock guitars you are seeing were orders from NAMM in January. The wait sucks, but cut the guys at EBMM some slack as the demand for these new JP models must be intense... Look how fast the 300 BluberryBurst JP15s have sold.

I actually saw both a JP15 and a JP15 Blueberry at the Sam Ash on 34th St NYC last week. I know other GC's in the area have had JP15's as well. They are out there

Sweetwater had two JP15's in stock last week. I got an email about them. I haven't checked the site to see how they look.
