Maybe the fretboard inlays, but I don't see how the knobs could be. Mother of Pearl is not a very thick material, so there's no way to make things like tuner knobs out of it. They are plastic / acrylic, just like the inlays on tons of guitars. The original fret markers on Fender guitars with rosewood fretboards were clay I believe.Hi, does anyone know if the fretboard inlays or tuner buttons on a JP15 is made from mother of pearl? Thank you.

Got it, thanks! Quick question though how can you usually tell the difference between real abalone/pearl and pearloid just by looking at it?Hi!
The JP15 typically uses pearl or abalone inlays, but not mother of pearl for the fretboard inlays. The tuner buttons, however, are usually made of pearloid, which is a synthetic material resembling pearl.
Hope this helps!
