JP15 - Neck Oil Help

Hi all,

I had another thread but it was too open so decided to open a new one specifically for this question.

If you check the neck one close to the bolt-on neck area, it looks like it lacks of oil/wax, it's very apparent, shall I do the oil/wax here then? I put a red circle there to be easy to find what I mean with that.

If there is a lack of oil/wax in this area (and you should be better able to judge this than this forum based on this picture alone—unfortunately, it is not possible to feel it), then just apply some oil/wax. Even more when it's very apparent. That's what it's for.

-> Compare with: It's cold outside, the thermometer definitely shows a low temperature. Should I dress warmly?

Thanks a lot for replying - yes, it’s indeed apparent and you can feel the difference. I bought it used but only with a few months of usage, so i was a bit surprised as the guitar js mint.

I will apply then and see how it goes, not sure if I would need to sand it first but will apply first.

Just wipe on and wipe off, no need to layer it or let it dry.

This oil /wax is crazy - my camera cannot get the real difference but it's like miracle - Thanks a lot.

a new neck - I believe it was not well finished from factory - because my another music man is still great even after a few years. ( I need to do it in this one now )

before and after look the same but obviously adding it helped so glad it is resolved, just a hint if it gets a bit tacky or rough feeling use 0000 steel wool lightly and will make a neck feel new
