Heres a new track I am working on with my "new" almost a year old now JP Dargie II... I LOVE the pickups in this thing and am seriously going to replace the old ones in my 2002 JP6 for the newer ones... MUCH better sounding.

The "amp" here is the Eleven Rack and the Treadplate Modern amp with the gain set between eleven and noon. There are 2 panned hard left&right rhythm tracks along with 3 other guitar tracks playing various parts using the same exact patch. The guitars have no other protools processing - just straight Eleven Rack aside from the two higher guitars which I added a stereo delay which I would have LOVED to just use the Eleven Rack for but guess what? NO stereo delay...?!

The bass guitar was also recorded through the eleven rack on some DC clean patch I ran across but I'll re-amp it later.

Its a song called "Crush" and you can find it here:

VaiSatchAtrucci - Crush - Eleven Rack Sample

Drums are not done yet, just bed tracks but I am using EZ Drummer if anyone cares.

I can't wait to finish this one - you should hear it through my monitors CRANKED UP :)

My wife LOVES it! <- sarcasm

Sounds really good! Can't wait for the finished version! I didn't think that you could get sounds that good out of the Eleven Rack. I was thinking about buying one of those but the lack of a good delay effect is setting me back. + I need the money to buy my first ball :p

Thanks! Yeah the lack of stereo delay really perplexed me but the reverb is astonishing... I use the Nova or G-System in the FX Loop for the FX its lacking PLUS I am able to control the 11R with it too so it's killing two birds with one stone although I can't turn individual 11R FX on/off with the Nova, I can with the G-System since it can send midi cc#'s. I end up using the Nova 99% of the time though since it's so much more compact of a pedalboard and does more than I really need anyway.

Sounds good so far! Do you still have your Road King rig?

Yes I still have the RK rig... I haven't used it in 6 months however. GREAT sounding rig, but man the 11R has me spoiled. I may pick up an AxeFx to compliment the 11R, a poweramp and ground control pro and be done with all my other rigs... So tempted...

Andrew... about time you add some new vids to your YouTube channel.

I was thinking the SAME thing! :) I was supposed to get a Tremol-No to demo but it's not arrived yet... :( I need to do some more vids but don't have a lot of material to cover... Any ideas on what you or anyone would be interested in seeing? I am planning on doing a BB Preamp / OCD / and Riot comparison through the 11R... Also going to demo the 11R and Nova System in the FX Loop and how I use that... I need to buy some new stuff but my ass is B-R-O-K-E! LOL!

Crush Update v1.2

Ok here's a little bit more!

VaiSatchAtrucci - Crush - v1.2 - Eleven Rack Mesa Project

I basically finished the verse and now working on the bridge... I'm not 100% sure of the direction here, but I am a sucker for melody over shred... However, I did throw some shred in there sparingly just to suit the drum fills.

This is gonna be a long process...

Good News: I should be pro programming drums by the end of this project!
Bad News: I'm not a pro NOW at programming drums for this.

I'd rather punch myself in the throat with authority.

If you say so! Who am I to argue!? :) LOL

Me <- ignorant.

thanks man! :)

Well its sort of a joke. I've played in enough bands where people were so focused on writing stuff in odd time signatures that I got sick of thinking about it. If everyone knows the music and can play it, who cares what the time signature is. I just think of things in terms of riffs and accents and forget about the actual signature.

I'm with you man - I actually play gigs with guys who hand me number charts with time sigs and all that and I just look at them and say "thats cute that you think I actually know how to read this..." LOL Gimme an A,B,C,D,E,F, and G and if you have to throw a minor in there or a flat then I'm still ok with that much at least... LOL They then proceed to tell me "Man I could sit you down for 2 hours and teach you in no time..." and I'm like "You clearly don't understand who you are dealing with..." LOL

Its also not a requirement for playing even super technical music. I would rather have someone with superior feel and quick learning skills than a guy that can tell me every musical fact about a riff I just played but cant get the picking down for a week.

Okay I was a bit confused as I listened to 46 seconds of an intro.lol Before I went back and looked further down the post and found the longer piece with the melody line, I was checking out what you had up and I must say there is some really outstanding playing. I loved the Acoustic song Rise Again, a really beautiful piece of music and got a great kick out of the Enter Peter Gun, as you took me by surprise as I thought you were going to segue the theme in from Sandman on the bass notes but you did it with tap harmonics which I thought was brilliant. I have to ask did you hear Kirk Hammet do that live or did you come up with it. Will definitely be checking out more of your playing.
