I'm sorry, you are going to have to wait until your JP arrives to get that answer. Cause we aren't going to tell you.......
Kidding of course. The JP comes with 3 springs. The middle spring is straight and the 2 outer springs are angled in.
Welcome to the forums. Congrats on the JP. You're going to love it
Scott
on my jp they are all straight
That's very interesting. Did you buy yours new? I bought my Dargie JP new and saw it come out of the box. And haven't done anything to the springs. Maybe, I'm just special.![]()
maybe it depends on the string thinkness.
Shouldn't make a difference. All JP's are shipped with the same sets of strings.
I was actually talking to a buddy who has to JP's and said his were shipped with 3 springs that were all straight. So Phazer seems to be correct. 3 springs all straight.
0.009 right?
There will be so much settimg problems if I'll put 0.010 on?
Actually, because it's an artists signature model, it depends what JP is playing. When the guitar first came out they were shipped with 10's. A little while back he switched to 9's so that's what the guitars were shipped with. He has gone back to 10's so that's what you should get. Here's a link for a thread that has Big Poppa announcing JP has gone back to 10's.

If the guitar had of come with 9's and you wanted 10's it would've been no big deal to switch them out. It would have meant a small adjustment. Because there is more tension with the 10's it would have pulled the bridge up a bit. You'd just have to screw in the trem claw screws a bit to bring the bridge back down to level. But if you don't know what you are doing make sure ya get someone who does.![]()
