Help! JP6 Issue with Setup and some questions

after a long busy time I come back to forum. In the Meantime I bought my third EBMM - a JP6 2001 w/o piezo. What a great guitar!! Love my Axis - yes, but this axe seems to be more practicable in my Band setup. .And it looks so great. Normaly I don't like slim necks but this one is is a kind of a magic wand. Beautyfull

Comeing to my questions and issue:

As I got the Guitar the setup was horrible. But this was no problem. I did a hole setup. But during the setup some questions came up.
1. there is a slot in the TremBlock with a screw between 1st and 2nd string. What is the function of it??
2. the top of the TremPlate should be parallel to the body top. But also on the same Layer? Or is it possible to adjust strign hight with the two Trem screws?

Issue I have:

My favorit strings are EXL110 D'addario (no EB Strings ). during the setup I wanted to setup the intonation. Problem is that I am not able to adjust the lower e string because the saddle is already at the back of the trem but I need to go a little backwards.
What can I do?

Does it makes sense to make the neck more straight and bring the complete bridge up? But neck is nearly totally straight.

Not sure if you understand what I mean because I'm not nativ english speaker. If you can give me some Information and help it's great.

I understood but maybe the best solution is to bring your guitar to a person who sets up MM guitars professionnally.

The screw in the tremblock, if I don't misunderstand is to set the strenght resistance to the rotation of the vibrato bar.

The top of the tremplate was set level with the body on my 4 JP.

I think your neck shouldn't be so straight first, moving it will change the intonation, same with tremblock height.
I think you have intonation issues because of these two being in bad setup.

Your string tension is good, you don't use an exotic string set, so I don't think it will be an issue.
