JP6 Music Man bridge rest has come loose

Hi, I am new to these forums but have had my Music Man for about a year and a half. I was just playing and half way through a song the palm rest on the bridge has suddenly come loose towards the low e-string side and is now rattling when I play. I can see 2 screws holding it down at either end, underneath of the bridge and I am just wondering what the easiest way to tighten this is. I have tried finding photos of the underneath of the bridge to see what type of screwdriver or hex/allen key is needed but to no avail. Any advice on the easiest way to approach fixing this would be greatly appreciated as I couldn't find any posts with the same issue.

Hmmm ... haven't run across that one before. Definitely call/email the customer service folks (link is in my signature). I'm sure they can sort you out.

Hi,
Those are Philipshead Screws. I just checked it on my JP. You can see them, If you remove the Tremcover, but I doubt that you can tighten them, without taking out the Trem. Be careful with the Piezowire that's connected to the Trem, when your taking it out.

Thanks for the help on that Dave. It was very awkward and needed two people but I have managed to get it tight again with a small set of pliers. I had to depress the trem bar as far as possible and then clasp the base of the screw with the thin pliers and tighten whilst someone else put pressure on the top of the rest. I also had to put cloth under the bridge to try and avoid scuffing/scratching the finish if I slipped with the tools.

It's a testament to the design that the guitar is still perfectly in-tune after all that though heh! Thanks again for all the help from you both. If it comes loose again I will have to try taking out the trem properly and tightening it. I have a JP-6 model without the piezo system so I guess it will be slightly easier.
