the problem was fixed and not worth the lack of respect. Act should get all his posts in now because it may be hard when Chewie shows up for wok on monday

Are you kidding me BP? I posted a simple question that I thought the forum community could help me with. I knew it was probably something small, so I didn't want to bother customer service with it.

In reply, you basically come at me with "STFU n00b" and then get mad because my avatar is a guitar I had custom made that doesn't happen to be an EBMM. I have laid out nothing but praise for my JP6 since the minute it touched my hands and I laid out quite a lot of money for it.

Then I see a similar thread referring to a JP6 as a "dud" and you give that poster a civilized reply referring him to customer service. My initial post was not abrasive in any light, nor was the thread until you popped in and replied in a rude and inappropriate manner. Instead of giving me a similar "please contact customer service" you immediately attack me and then upset when I reply in kind.

weak.

First, read the dud thread again...

Second... you broke a rule and it just gets old man. It seems like every day there is a new thread about a minor little problem from someone with a VERY low post count, and USUALLY there are a bunch of replies in those threads from people with VERY low post counts who come out of nowhere to defend the thread originator. Obviously this hasn't happened with you, but that crap is rampant here at times. It's a long running frustration for us all here.

Honestly, I have a hard time finding it a coincidence that you're going on and on about this. The guitar isn't buzzing any more, and if it starts up again... call CS. Other than that, just accept the reason why he is so touchy about this subject, and move on. Fact is, just because you don't get it doesn't mean its unjustified.

Your intent may not have been like the other posts like this, but surely you can imagine how hard it would be to see the same flare up time after time and even when they aren't flame bait, they don't look any different until three pages in... and even in this case, you're still whining about nothing. BP is tired of these threads, he jumped your case, and you're an adult and can handle it right? Your boss at work always have perfectly nice and polite things to say to you? Any friends that are good enough friends to be a source of moral accountability to you always put on thier kid gloves? You think BP hasn't jumped my case when I didn't notice a rule? I mean, who cares? He's a nice guy trying to run his family company in a wal mart world, and this forum has a lot of potential to do as much damage as it does good if he doesn't lay some ground rules down.

People CAN NOT make determinations about someone's character on a forum. I'm sorry... but there is NO ONE on Earth who isn't more bold, more confident, more matter of fact in printed media... PERIOD. There is no vocal inflection in anything so it seems the best thing to do is build a bridge and get over it... or leave. Continuing to whine about how you're treated is going to get you banned anyway so you might as well find a way to stay or if you can't, leave before you get banned.

I just checked the stickies and I still don't see how I broke a rule. I check the actual forum rules sticky and there is no mention of anything. I can't believe this is a 2 page thread over me asking "has anyone else experienced this?"

Edit: There, changed my avatar

The posts have been way beyond that though, fella.

Take a step back, realise team colours in the wrong crowd was never going to be a good intro.

Might seem trivial, but the avatar change was more of a gesture than you think.

Act...nice avatar btw.

Let's take a step back and relax. Honestly, you have a great guitar (even though it is left handed ;) ) and this is a great place to hang out.

One hard part about forums is what mesavox said. Talking through typing is very black and white. You don't see some of the nuances in what people say and how they say them.

You posted a problem. Pops said give CS a call and they would get you sorted out. Then things go south from there. You feel insulted for some reason and then you had to throw in some insulting verbage about a GREAT friend of mine. You were asked to edit that out and you did.

One of the biggest problems with the forum is this...a small "problem" suddenly turns into people looking for the guy on the grassy nole. It has happened more times than I care to remember here. Bro...I have had to defend Pops with some people and it could have been handled in a better manner.

Here is the deal...personally, I hope you stick around. Sure...a bit of a flare up happend, but we can all move on. If you decide to leave and not come back...fine as well. Just don't be insulting about. Quietly go.

I don't want to have an online argument with you as my E-a$$holedom may come out of me and it is not something I want. Just be respectful to a man who has done more for me in life than provide great guitars, basses and strings. Not many people know what he has done for me and I would catch a bullet for him in a heartbeat. The cool part is if you stay...you will get to know him and with that comes respect all around. Follow me?

I read the sticky....I will agree. They need to be updated. Let me throw a PM to a MOD and get that done.

Again...not trying to start up with you...I would rather you stay here and have a good time.

Well played guys... and ActofGod, you should consider yourself lucky that BP likes you again and offered you another chance.

I myself, am not quite "there" yet but only time will tell :p eh BP? lol, who knows...

On a serious note, as far as sticky rules are concerned may I suggest to BP and to the Mods to make use of your FAQ on the top line of this forum to group all the newbies "do's and don't" so that they are all nicely laid in one place and no excuse for overlooking them? Your forum FAQ at the moment contains the general forum usage tips that come as standard with vBulletin which basically tell people how to manipulate their post, edit and delete etc, however FAQ are fully customizable in the admin control panel and can be edited with real useful info. If you see what I did to my forum .: XT660.com - The #1 XT660 Resource :. - FAQ (off topic I know but worth the example) I totally removed all the general posting instructions with real useful info for the newbies.

Let peace rule!

Thanks Jesse....glad you are still hanging out.

I have been in contact with bovinehost (forum Mod) about getting the rules re-vamped so there will be no confusion on future knuckleheads. We have sent a few PM's back and forth.

Now...have a great day!
