i have a jp6 and the neck pickup is shorter than the bridge pickup. the high-E string is not exactly over the polepiece. is it normal?

The bridge pickup is F-spaced to keep the poles lined up correctly with the strings at the bridge. If it is not a stock pickup and not f-spaced that could be the cause. It's probably nothing to worry about, but you might want to contact customer service and see what they think.

I know for the Axis, the neck pickup is not F-Spaced. The string spacing tapers down at the neck pickup position, so a standard spaced humbucker fits perfectly.

I'm guessing that the JP is set up the same way.

no,the brigde pu is definitely f-spaced..the neck pu is shorter than the bridge pu,than i guess it is not f-spaced(the high-E polepiece is not exactly below the string).

i'll have to check to be sure if it is physically shorter. Did you measure the width of each pickup or do they just LOOK shorter? I'll get back to you tonight...
