You know, when you switch from the full humbuckers to the split modes, there's always a volume drop? How do you guys deal with this difference ON STAGE?
I find myself using the split position for a lot of playing, and switching to the neck or bridge for a volume increase. I use the split position a lot, both clean and overdriven.
But often I find myself getting used to the full humbucker tone volume on a dirty channel, then switching to clean mode, and there's a good balance. But when I move to the split position to do funky rhythms, it's TOO soft. I can't seem to get it to come through the mix.
In that case, you might want to put a compressor on your board. It'd equalize your volume when you need. Either that or a boost pedal (e.g. RC Booster, etc.)
