You know, when you switch from the full humbuckers to the split modes, there's always a volume drop? How do you guys deal with this difference ON STAGE?

If you have a preamp, like I do, you program a patch with the volume goosed a bit.

Or embrace it. If you're using the middle position for clean sounds then you won't need to lower the gain as much when you switch.

I do this with the singles on my Morse- just switching pickups gets you a clean sound, w/o having to drop too much gain.

But often I find myself getting used to the full humbucker tone volume on a dirty channel, then switching to clean mode, and there's a good balance. But when I move to the split position to do funky rhythms, it's TOO soft. I can't seem to get it to come through the mix.

In that case, you might want to put a compressor on your board. It'd equalize your volume when you need. Either that or a boost pedal (e.g. RC Booster, etc.)
