Hey guys!

I was wondering if there is way to eliminate or at least minimize the "click" when switching between piezo+mag and mag positions. For some reason the click is audible trough the amplifier.

Thanks in advance!

Well imo it's not a problem that gives me a great deal of concern. In the "heat of battle" who's gonna hear the "click".

Recording scenario?- different proposition - but that can be filtered / edited out ? Dizzy may chip in here as he has far more recording knowledge than me. But live? not a problem that I have encountered or feel the need to worry about.

Never had this issue with any of my piezo equipped guitars. What is your signal path?

That's odd. The switch basically grounds the input from the mags/piezo to the onboard preamp. I suppose it's possible that there is a bit of stray voltage that builds up, but it does sound unusual.

Best suggestion is to contact the CS folks and discuss it with them. Hard to suggest something w/o having the guitar to play with.

My signal path is quite simple: guitar -> TRS cable -> splitter
The piezo channel after the splitter is Zoom A2 -> Mixer -> Power amp -> Speakers
The mag channel is: volume -> wah -> overdrive -> noise gate -> amp

The "click" only appears trough the mag channel, it is almost acoustic in nature. It seems the magnetic pickups pick the mechanical vibration when the switch clicks. This is more noticeable with the piezo/mag switch than with the pickup select switch. I am starting to think this may be related to the way the pickups are mounted. I will probably call CS t some point, but this is not a big deal.

Thanks!
