Hey guys,

My JP6 wasn’t played like in a month. Yesterday I plugged it and no piezo sound was coming from it. I replaced the battery with no luck.

The strange issue is that when I pressed the battery box it started to work, but then again stopped. Now, even if I press it, no sound. In mono/piezo output there is no sound coming from the magnetic pickups also.

Any ideas?

It might be the spring terminals inside the battery box have bent away from the battery, but best to call EBMM Customer Service directly 866-823-2255

What Pete said. I had the same issue on my 2004 JP6 at some point. I think I was able to bend the metal plated at the bottom of the battery case upwards again with a tweezer by unscrewing the battery box and pulling it out. Be aware that the battery cable is pretty short - I managed to tear mine out and needed help to solder it back on.

Thanks! How do you take out the battery box? I unscrewed it but can barely move it.
