Jp6 piezo slowly dies?

Hi guys, my jp6 has had this issue for awhile, piezo starts off strong and then gets quieter over about 30 minutes until it's quiet and very thin sounding, like a plink plink sound instead of the full acoustic sound. Tried batteries, 4 brand new ones. Still passes magnetic sound throughout both outputs, and of course not through the stereo out when the battery is out. Any ideas?

Very odd- I would have thought battery as well, or the connectors in the battery compartment.

I'd suggest you give customer service a call- this is a job for them.

Maybe a shortened piezo due to sweat, CS call!

Yeah, definitely time for CS. They know those preamps better than anyone. They should be able to help you troubleshoot it in no time.
