Hi Guys!

I am thinking to add the push/pull mod to my JP6. So far I was able to collect the following links:

http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/37794-john-petrucci-6-push-pull-pot-mod-installed.html
http://forums.ernieball.com/music-man-guitars/32151-adding-push-pull-pot-john-petrucci-6-config.html
http://forums.ernieball.com/music-m...-diagram-coil-split-push-pull-humbuckers.html

The first two links are consistent in terms of schematic, however I found the third one to be completely different.

I am looking for a split similar to the one in the first link:

pushed:
top = neck humbucker
middle = both humbuckers
bottom = bridge humbucker

pulled:
top = neck split
middle = both split
bottom = bridge split

Can anyone please confirm which of the two schematics is the right one?

Thanks

The Cables that connect the two Humbucker Coils need to be unsoldered from the 3 Way switch and soldered to the middle Contacts of the Pushpull Switch. The upper Contacts of the Pushpull get soldered to Ground, to split the Coils in the Up Position

Hello there! Last post is quite long time ago, but I try a question. Did the push pull mod on my JP7. All is working great. But the toggle switch for piezo can not dectivate the other PUs any more. Maybe you can help me? Thanks!

Ok. I should have checked the toggle switch of the piezo first. There was a loose contact. It was an easy fix and now all works properly!!!
