Hello all,
Long time lurker. Finally pulled the trigger and got another EBMM JP6 after kicking myself for letting my first one go.
I picked up a JP6 Stealth. The original owner had gotten factory installed Dimarzio Virtual PAFS installed. While they sound good, they don't have the juice I'm looking for.
I went to two local GC and tried every petrucci they had. I got to try the Crunchlab/Luiqifure & Illuminators. While both had their strong suits they didn't nail the tone I have in my head.
I've been doing a ton of research and I'm leaning to either a Dimarzio Tone Zone/PAF Pro set up or going with some wilde L-500xl/L-500R set up. Are their any other Dimarzios I should be checking out.
I am a child of the 80's so I like everything from Hair metal to Megadeth, Ozzy, metallica, Alice in Chains, etc
I play through a Line 6 HD500x into a FRFR powered speaker.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
