I was playing up my old, no-option JP6 a few weeks ago--after not having played it in years.

I noticed my tuners weren't turning smoothly. They're a bit "sticky" in the sense that as I turn the tuning keys, they kind of have a little more resistance through some of the travel--not all the way around. Is this something that happened to you? Is there a recommended fix for this? Should I contact Music Man customer service?

Have you tried loosening the screws that hold the buttons on? There is usually a tensioning washer in there that controls how hard it is to turn the tuners.
