Hello. I've recently switched the magnetic selector switch on my 2011 JP6 with the newer (long PCB) style switch.
They work fine and seemed more sturdy than the older switch, but I have a question regarding the solder terminal right below the one used for ground. (No.7 in the below picture)
When I wired my ground to that hole, the resulting tone was much brighter, twangy, almost like a split coil, but both coils are still running (no hum).
So what does the terminal actually do? Is it for parallel wiring?
