What were you playing before you switched to a JP6 and why.

I was always back and forth between my Les Paul Standard and my Jackson DK1. The DK1 is now totally out and the JP6 is slowly taking over all duties from the Les Paul as well.

Yeah the old Les Paul. I still play it. There is something about it, plus hard tail guitars are so easy to gig with and go to Drop D etc. so its good to have around. I also find that when I do a shootout with the guitars, the JP6 fares better in a band situation than it does just by itself.

If they made the JP6 in a hard tail, I would be all over that in a second. Then I would have no need for any other guitars.

My Custom Peavey. It's an early '80s strat copy USA Peavey Predator. I customized the snot out of it and it actually sounds/plays great. It won't shake the bluesy tone, but sounds great anyway. It was my first guitar so I couldn't sell it. I don't play it much these days, but it's always fun to whip it out and give it some attention now and again...

I was playing an Ibanez RG3120TW... It was really nice but the MM JP is just in a different league! Now I'm really hoping to get a BFR JP, another step up I think (I already played one, loved it).

various Ibanez, but mainly my J-Custom RG 8470... I still like it a lot, but I prefer the H-H configuration on the EBMM JP ;)

I still use my Ibanez and Caparison guitars... when I want a different sound...

Red Quilt Axis.

Still my best looking EBMM but the JP beats it on neck playability, tighter sounding pickups, trem and body comfort.

Kramer American Pacer Deluxe... The neck profile is somewhat similar to the JP and it also has a floating tremolo. It is HSS and 22 frets. I'm a 24 fret dual humbucker type of guy, so after I played the first JP to come through the store it was just a hunt to find the right color JP for me (which I did!).

I was playing an SG Classic (P90s) and Les Paul.

Still have those around as well as a strat, but the JP6 is the most functional guitar I have... especially playing in a coverband.

The JP6 was purchased by selling an Ibanez Prestige, Fender Tele, Ibanez Artcore and a Fender bass.

I don't play a JP, but before I got the Sub, I was kicking around ESP's, Ibanez, etc. I just never bonded with any of them.

The one non-ball that I truly miss was an old Applause strat copy that I had rebuilt as a single hum hardtail with a killswitch.

Im very seriously considering selling the RG to put money towards my fiance's wedding ring.

Before I got my Mystic Dream JP6, and then ultimately got my BFR JP6, I was playing Prestige Ibanez RG's. I had a 3120 in Twilight Blue with a Tone Zone/PAF Pro Combo, and an Ibanez 1527 7 String with a D-Sonic 7/Air Norton 7 Combo. Great guitars no doubt but they don't hold a candle to my BFR.

PRS custom 22. Loved it, but I always wanted a jp sig. Just refused to buy his ibanez due to the term and non locking tuners. When jp joined ebmm, I ordered a redburst in the blind. Havnt and won't ever go back.

Ibanez Jem 7VWH and various RGs both 7 and 6.. as well as Fender Scorpion strat that my bro gave me and I will never give up. Same for the Jem. I love her.. she was my number one for years, and the only reason I put her away is because it was just that time.

Now I've got my JP(and Luke) and I'm never switching companies again. EBMM all the way. :)
