I bought a Petrucci music man a few weeks ago. Everything is great, but the trem arm seems to swing very loosely instead of holding its position after you move it. The store I purchased it from insists its the correct arm.

Any thoughts on how to fix it or get a replacement arm?

Push down on the whammy bar and look at the bottom of the bridge on the side where the trem arm goes into the bridge. You wll see a little hole where you can insert a small allen wrench. While pushing down on the bar put the allen wrench in and tighten it up as tight as you would like it to be. No more loose trem arm. Lots of guitars are now using this type of a system for loosening/tightening the whammy bar. I believe it is a 1.5mm allen wrench (also known as a hex key).
