So I'm deciding on a JP12-7 with the rosewood neck but wondering if that's the best suited model (wood matching wise) to pair with the all rosewood neck?

Anyone have any info on how the all rosewood neck affects the tone and what body woods would make a good pair?

Thanks.

The JP12 is a fantastic choice, having basswood as opposed to alder (jpxi) provides a great bright tone combined with the more mellow rosewood neck. Rosewood and mahogany are both warm tone woods, and having a rosewood board as opposed to ebony will mellow out that sharp top end that ebony usually provides (in my experience).

Plus, cherry sugar plus rosewood neck is an unbeatable color scheme. So good.
