Help! JPX-6 Neck Alignment

Hi guys, i need your help regarding my guitar's neck alignment. i adjusted the neck to lessen the gap on the neck pocket. and now i'm wondering if i did it right. here's some pictures of my guitar now. TIA!

I can't say 100% but think it looks fine in those pics. Does it feel off? I've had a neck shift in the pocket before and couldn't really see it but pulled the string off the fretboard really easily. As long as it plays fine, it is fine.

i does play fine man. i dunno i'm probably just being too OCD'd lol.

thanks!! i got it from a guy on Ernie Ball Facebook group. he was able to lower the price since we did a direct transaction. as soon as i received it got the Rainmaker/Dreamcatcher installled and been loving it since.

When adjusting a bolt on neck, the most important thing is always to have proper string alignment. It's pretty much impossible to make a bolt on neck pocket that will fit perfectly all the time, due to how wood expands and contracts with temperature, moisture, etc. There's also slight variation when paint is applied, etc.

As long as the strings are aligned, which it looks like they are, it's all good. Usually I put some tension on the strings before making the final tightening of a bolt on joint, to pull the neck into the body as much as possible.

i see, yeah CS replied to me an they said based on my pictures they don't see anything out of spec when it comes to my neck alignment. i also compared it to my brand new JP6 and it's does align pretty much the same. so i'll just leave it as is now.thanks!

I disagree... in my experience, it varies from guitar to guitar. Some guitars are rock solid, with perfect alignment in every season of the year. Others need adjusment. And others, less fortunate, have severe misalignments, and the neck won't go right no matter what you do.
