Hey guys! I haven't been around here in an age, but as always its my go to place for help!
So I have my JPX 7, which I love to pieces and sounds amazing, but I can't help but wonder about my truss rod.
It's currently turned all the way anti-clockwise, as I need a little more relief on the board, I have a reasonably heavy hand. I'm using the 10-62 7 string set, so I should be getting a decent amount of relief. However, the neck is close to straight, and the truss rod wheel is able to be turned with bare fingers.
Does anyone know if this is a common thing, or a way to resolve the issue? The truss rod does get tension and the wheel gets tighter when the rod is tightened clockwise!
Any input appreciated,
Adam
EDIT: I should also note, the majority of my buzz is around the 8-12th fret. Bottom frets and top ones are perfect with no buzz so it's not my nut, as I just had my luthier replace the compensated nut as my D string was cut too low from the factory
