Hey guys! I recently picked up a brand new JPX. It is the first JPX I've owned and, as I'm sure you know, this is the only JP model with a 5-way selector. I noticed right off the bat just how annoying of a feature this was. It's completely in the way of my sweep picking, and shredding in general, if I have it on the neck pickup. I also noticed that the pickup selector is about 5x as long extending from the body as I am used to. I cut it down with some metal cutters and now it is pretty flush with the body. Its still kind of in my way, but much more manageable. Has anyone else experienced this problem? It was almost a deal breaker for me.

Thank you!

I kinda like the way it is. It's very comfortable as I need to switch between pickups frequently.

I have never seen JP play it, but his hand is far closer to the bridge pickup than the average player. I could see it being a problem for some, although it seems like it's in a good place for me.
