JPXI-7 Piezo Input Issue

Long time lurker, first time poster!

I just purchased my second JP7, a JPXI-7, and have been experiencing an odd issue with the piezo/mono input. When I plug in the cable, the first second or so is dead then the signal starts popping/cracking in for a second or so then is perfectly fine the remainder of the time. Anyone else had this issue and know what exactly is the cause?

What brand of cable? Some brands fit better than others. Have you tried different ones?

Ive tried several, all work fine in the magnetic but the issue persists in the piezo/mono. Like I stated, once the signal comes in its fine, moving the cable around makes no noise or anything either. Definitely stumped.
