I always wanted a JP 7 string, and I finally was able to afford one thanks to cash+trade...I didnt know which to get, at first it was the original jp7 in mystic dream but it ended up being the xi in onyx black because i wanted the 20" radius, and the majesty looks a lil too different for my tastes, though I TOTALLY love and respect the features of it, id love one perhaps to trade my xi for it one day, but As for the XI, its surprisingly the perhaps the best guitar ive ever played and I do have VERY expensive, high end collections

The neck is something that you can review for days, the specs/options on these guitars are ridiculous, too many tones to even bother testing them all, and man, it plays sounds and feels better than anything else I own or played, ever,

I always doubted the veracity of the EBMM fanboy club, and I unfortunately must concede defeat to my loyalty and allegiance to Ibanez lol! When they said EBMM makes the best production guitars, I really do believe that now, not that I think less of any other brand, since Ibanez RG ART (j-custom) will and still always be my favorite, but this guitar with the 20" radius really is something really unique, to me, this thing might actually be better than a custom guitar (and I meant any customs by that, including mine own) out of the box!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

and, now you know we've been telling the truth the whole time :D

Thank you. And yes I do know that now (cuz I'm one of you ahhhhh lol)

Btw, my piezo is popping, fading , in n out, distorting .... Is that a problem with guitar or my cable / input on amp?

Glad you're on board!

I would contact customer service regarding the piezo issue. Their phone number is: 866-823-2255

Congratulations! Nice guitar, and welcome.

I was gonna get a JPXI but was scared off a bit from the flatness of the fretboard (about the flattest around). I wish I could find one in person so I can play it.

My JPXI-7 was also my first EBMM after a long string of Ibanez guitars, just like yourself. Absolutely love it as well. So much so that I'm slowly phasing out more of my collection for more ernie balls. In fact, I only have one Ibanez left at this point!

Thanks so much guys. Man I cant put this thing down, I love this neck, I mean it is the flattest fretboard and thinnest neck, I am in the middle of having my custom guitar built, and it is so funny that this guitar is practically what I had spec'd out and I didn't know it....to the point that I would have/canceled my custom if I got this first!

custom…… carvin?

Actually no, a full custom, like a custom custom by a local luthier (spec'd from the fretboard width and radius down to the wiring lol,and Ny'ers love to support local/mom n pops of possible and this guys work is so amazing and top knotch and he has such good vibes and was so enthusiastic to work with me, moreso than every other luthier and company combined, I had no choice lol,) I based it off the stephens extended cutaway (you can find on washburn nunos and parallaxes) 7 string, ill def post pics, itll be done august 12-14

Hey, it's my old guitar! Welcome to EBMM land Chris, glad you like her! I loved her too but I had to let it go to get my Darklord and I couldn't be happier with that thing!

Hey Noah, Thank you very much, and yes, I do love it a lot, and Im sure youd be happy to know that I love it more than anyone else you could have sold it to could, id like to think im up there with JPX owners that bought this on pre-order or day 1, because I feel like this guitar was made for me as if I gave them the specs to custom make it, and I swear, my custom neck will have an alteration to the fingerboard because of this guitar

I love this guitar so much that you could have easily asked for another $200 on top of the amazing guitar and amazing cash offer I made you and I still would have piad it man, thanks again and for welcoming

TC I'm with you in my excitement for EBMM... First it was Gibson, then I got my first Carvin. The rest is history... OR SO I THOUGHT!!! Then I got my hands on my first EBMM, the JP13 7 - it blew me away. Then the Majesty... Then...

I used to be an Ibby guy as well... I always loved every EBMM neck I played, but I thought they were out of my price range. Then I decided instead of having a ton on sub-$1000 Ibanezes, I'd just upgrade and have a few good Balls. Been super happy ever since. Now I just want a rosewood Y2D and a Tangerine Pearl standard JP7! :D
