Hello all. I purchased a JP6 in 2005 and it's been a great guitar. In 2012 I purchased my JPXI and it instantly became my main Axe. Does anyone else here love it as much as I do?

My XI is currently my most-played guitar. I often cycle through favorites but the more that I play my XI, the more that I appreciate all of the design details. The piezo switch used to drive me nuts as it would get in my way when I did tapping but I adjusted the guitar higher and now it's not an issue. Also, I'm generally a fan of taller frets than what comes on the XI. Now I notice that I like sliding up and down the neck with less "speed bumps."
Stainless frets, a non-locking tremolo that stays in tune, comfortable body carves... JP and EBMM really connected with my needs on this guitar. With the amps that I play through, alder seems to be the right wood to sit in the mix with my band.
Another cool thing? In the EBMM line, I believe that there are "none more black." :) You could say that I'm a hardcore fan.

It's 'cause you haven't owned a 13. You'll come around eventually :)

...And then once you're a 13 believer, then I'll meet you on the greener side of the fence that is the Majesty.

In all honesty though, I kinda enjoy playing my 13 more than the Maj lol.

I hear ya.. I have a Majesty on order since August it's killing me. You really like playing the 13 more?

How does the 20" radiused fretboard feel?

The 20" Radius is great. Some people might not like how flat it is, but it's perfect for me. We play a lot of long shows and I notice that there's definitely less hand fatigue.

Oddly enough, yes. I play both guitars about equally in my current band and while the Maj is super light, fast, and sleek, the 13 just feels easier to play for some ineffable reason. Both are 7-strings, BTW. My XI is very nice as well, but the 13 kicks all my guitars' butts.

I bought my JP13 first....then my good friend, Eliot over at Sam Ash took a trade of a JPXi. Ran right over and bought it. I love the Xi but I prefer my JP13. I think the Xi has a better sound for heavier music.

13 rules IMO. The 15 looks awesome though. I really love the boost.

I've got a mishmashed XI and use it tuned 1/2 step down with band #2. It sounds like a brick wall looks, nice and tough! The rest of the time I use a regular JP6 but I do want to take a 15 hostage at some point

I've had a couple XI's and while they are great guitars, I prefer the 15" radius of the JPX (my rosewood neck JPX is probably my second favorite EBMM; after my Royal Purple Majesty). I do want to pick up a JPXI-7 eventually though, perhaps with a rosewood neck if I can locate one!
