Well my Fellow Knuckleheads,
For those who took the time to read my thread - http://www.ernieball.com/forums/mus...out-there-really-doesnt-want-me-get-25th.html You'll see that I'm in a bit of a pickle, on Monday there are 3 days of meetings back to back which decide if my company gets our contract which means I get to keep my job, (They put a lot of spin on it - but that's pretty much how it is!) -
What has this to do with Ernie Ball Musicman I hear you say? - well it's funny, if it were over 3 years ago - not a thing, but it's almost 3 years since I came to this board, and oh man what a blast it's been.I really love it here, and the products are great, Show me another company where you get to see stuff from concept to completion -a ribbing from the CEO a supplier/distributer relationship with end users 2nd to none, amazing customer support and a method of chatting and meeting with your peers... Get to make a tool of yourself with amazing players meeet your guitar heros have somebody put it on you tube and all your work mates to find it.....errr anyway.... you all rock!
should things go my way on Wednesday night/Thursday morning - then I'm going to go ball crazy, and buy EVERY ball I can find - I may even be in a position to purchase most of the for sale thread!!! - along with a 25th (supposing I need to fly to the US to get it!!) and a HH AL! - as all of this will equate to at least 7 years solid employment which would alllow me to take on some heavy debt.
If things don't go my way then unfortunately I'll need to sell all my balls, My wife and children are really settled in our little part of Scotland, and there's no work for 200 miles in any direction, so I'd need to take a lesser paid job and fund the difference in our basic bills in ball sales - make no mistake this will hurt, but gotta do what I gotta do. PurpleASS I can hear you drooling over that AL stop it - you ebarass us both !
Don't get me wrong folks there's a load of you out there who've been dealt a crappier hand than I - Mbgreene, Erin to name a few, and God have mercy on those poor left handed fellas!!!(I'm one before the hate mail starts!!) - My situation is nothing compared to yours fellas, and my thoughts are often with you.
I know you're all busy, and I know you all have your own problems, but if your crossing anything on wednesday or Thursday - think of old smelly!!
