I've been a loyal MM Sterling H player for many years now,and I now have a Sterling HH on the way. Just want to hear from current owners what I have to look foward to. Can't wait!!!

I've been playing a SR5 since 88..my Ray 4 HH is my number one bass, as it is a Stingray, but once you start flipping the switch, you have a universe of tone to choose from, it's almost a cure for GAS, but they way Sterling and crew have been gearing up for NAMM...GAS for us will just be a permanent condition.

I have two Sterling 5's. One is a H and the other a HH. I prefer the HH for the versatility it provides.

I just got my Sterling 5HH in Sterling Silver a couple months ago and cannot put it down. I keep it in the guitar stand so I can get to it at all times. I've been gigging with it a lot too. I like all the tones you can get out of one bass. The only complaint is that you will have to modify your slap technique coming from the H model - that neck pup is right where you'd normally pluck the string. It's just a matter of being more precise - totally doable, but you'll notice the difference. If you don't slap, then it's not an issue - you'll enjoy all the additional tones you can get. Is your new Sterling HH a 4 or a 5?

My HH is a Stingray rather than a Sterling but I love it. All 5 positions on the pickup switch are distinctive and sound fantastic plus the EQ gives you a ton of flexibility to tweak the sound further. I know people say the HH is tough to slap on but I've never found that to be a problem (primarily because I'm not a slapper ).

I gotta believe the Sterling will be just as flexible. Enjoy!

Just got it a few minutes ago.Now I know why everybody likes these things.Just going through the different positions,I can pick out what tunes I'm going to use them on. I think my Blue Dawn H just got replaced as my" go to" bass. This thing is going to work out nicely.My index finger sits right up against the neck,so slapping won't be a problem. Rats! Now I gotta get a 5 string HH!

I thought the same thing when I got it. Just the perfect shade of white.Gotta get that TS guard now.

Now I get it.

Did my first gig with the HH last weekend,and it exceded expectations! I seem to have settled on position 2 for the majority of the tunes,and position 1 where I need a little extra bump. I added the Tortoise Shell guard and that just put the icing on the cake. I am really pleased with this baby!
