Hey guys,
was just thinking about a new Ball build.
Nothing revolutionary just something plain jane actually.
I was thinking that the reasons I love my Ball are for the awesome workmanship, the great ergonomics, the slightly thicker bodies ( give a great thick tone) , the truss rod wheel, the sculpted neck heel ( which is WAY better than any half-assed shaved heel, the headstock and last but not least the amazing necks.
The necks from all the forums i search and go through are some of the best in the industry. Whenever someone asks what peoples favorite necks are EBMM ALWAYS comes into account more than others. and i totally have to agree.
the only thing i see people not buy so many of them is the 'peculiar' body shapes and options.
cutting to the chase,
why dont you create a Silo Special shaped guitar made outta basswood with a maple top ala axis and keep the rest the same??
Actually maybe make the neck nut 1.650 just because alot of people complain that the necks are awesome but too narrow for them.
You could have one with a floyd resting on top ala axis and one with the awesome EBMM vintage style trem.
I Think it would sell like crazy! I know i would buy one of each and with maple a rosewood boards.
It would have everything NONE of the competition has. and with the mojo that EBMM has.
Basswood guitars are really hot these days as is Mahogany.
Oh i forgot to add that another factor people LOVE EBMM is the unfinished part of the necks! most makers say they need to coat them in something but people WANT the oil wax finish.
cheers
