I know there is a SN sticky up top....but this is more of a question for other old smoothie owners (already sent an email to customer service). Just purchased from Sam Ash in LA. Most smoothies I've seen have the standard E9---- #. This one is C00900. Can't find any info about why that is. What an amazing bass though. smooth really is the perfect word.

I think some of the Summer NAMM exclusives have a "C" serial number. However, I thought all the Old Smoothies from this run had the roasted neck on them. Looking at the pictures, this one does not appear to have that. Interesting.

Congrats on the new bass! She's a beauty!

Thanks for the info! Yea not roasted, just standard. Also I should say it wasn't showing up in Sam ash's inventory on the computer....but there it was on the wall. Hmm I wonder if it had a roasted neck at some point and was 'reconfigured' before selling it to Sam ash?

I would guess that EBMM doesn't throw away extra but perfectly good neck plates (or bridges) because the "special production run" has passed.

Just got the official word - "There are some out there that will begin with "E" and some will begin with "C", there is no rhyme or reason just how they were pulled by the setup technicians"

Case closed!
