I just bought a Silhouette - it should be arriving within the next day or so! I already own a Music Man bass, but I never thought about getting a Music Man guitar... I've never played one before, what can I expect? (I know it is crazy to play a guitar without seeing it first, but I have a hunch that the Silhouette is pretty darn close to what I'm looking for - very strat-like but with more meat).

Is this crazy or what?

That's it... I think all us Canucks should buy up all the EB/MM guitars we can... and then we can use them to rule the world! BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA! :D

...or like, just have some cool guitars to play, like, you know, songs on an' stuff, ...or whatever

I think the Silhouette is very modern in terms of tone and feel - more like a meaty Jem than a meaty Strat. It doesn't have the uber-slim neck of the Ibanez, but it's not really very Strat-like (humbuckers, 24 frets, pretty radical cutaways on a down-sized body). A Jackson Dinky would probably be a fair comparison... Cool guitars tho' - I'm sure you'll love it.

I think they feel/respond quite like a vintage strat, but with a modern twist. I've found no two to be quite the same either, much like a vintage strat. Hope you git a luck of the draw slab of wood, their all good but some better.

I have been using the axis guitars for years, and I recently bought a silhouette special and put a duncam distortion in the bridge and I have not touched another guitar, they are so comfortable and they sound incredible, I really dont know how MM does it, their guitars are so clean and crisp sounding, anway, the S is way versatile, and there are strat tones in there as well as meaty tones, its a fantastic instrument, good luck im jealous! - lock
