Hello Kids,

As you know Luke and his lovely wife are expecting a child rught around the bash.

Luke came over for dinner tonight and asked to come outside so he could talk to me about something......He asked me to be the Godfather of Lily Rose Lukather.

Needless to say I am honored and hope they dont need me!

My best friend and Godfather

Guys,
Some of you I have met but most not.
The thing here is that Sterling (aka Biff to his close friends) is my very best friend. The kind of friend that does not come along in life very often if ever. We have been thru the best and worst together for over 20 years and THAT is the reason I asked. His family is MY family! Our kids grew up together and we watched them grow up to be great young people that we , as parents can be so proud of. I have watched Stacy and Biff be the the best role model parents and I have learned so much from watch them and it helped make my kids ( now 20 and 22) be better people. I love them more than words could describe. I realize that this is very personal but yet I am honored to have the Ball family as my own. Scott, Brian and Casey are like my own and we are connected on a very deep level. Some people come and go in your life and others are there when the sh*t gets deep and some just bail.
We have shared weddings , funerals, divorce, AMAZING success and sometimes have to deal with the bummers in life. Sound familiar? Yeah cause we ALL have the same things in life. Good and bad.
I am enjoying the best time in my life EVER and its cause I have been thru so much and learned so much and laughed harder than I have cried and at almost 50 I can look back and see that I am so lucky to have all this, a great gig..getting paid to play the guitar and see the world and make a nice $ taste, work and play with the very best of the best and just groove.. it is hard to explain. I cant imagine being 20 right now. haha ....Thats for my son and daughter that ARE that age and they are excited for me and my wife and I know its a trip for them to have a new 'lil sister after all this time. Hell, we were ALL surprised but my wife and I are really happy, albiet nervous, haha , but hey, wouldnt you be ? Just cause I did it before doesnt mean its not special ! My son said it best " Pop's you waited 20 YEARS to tell me I am the middle child"? hahaha I pissed myself laughing but its true. My daughter is more exocted than us as she always wanted a little sister. I am truly the richest man in the world and I have so many to thank for that. Starting with the Ball family, my best friends ever!
I would never blog like this but I am so happy I wanna tell the world.
I wish this for all of you and God bless.
Hope I get to meet some of you at the "wild weekend". I know I can hang ( assuming all is well) , cause the baby is due ANY minute, days from what I hear from the Dr. But none the less . I have THE coolest wife and family that this is the best year of my life cause I can now step back and look at it and appreciate it for what it is. When I was a teenager and in my early 20's, when my career was just staring to happen SO fast I couldn't grasp it... Thats what is great about gettin older. Stupid ego B.S is laughable. I dont care how BIG my d*ck is, I am just glad it still works! hahha . You know what I mean..
