It is really exciting to get ready for this new little bundle. It is also really funny to enter the next stage of my life......You know, the one where your friends and their younger wives have babies....Privately I have teased Luke about being the guy in the walker and depends with tubes coming out of his nose at the high school graduation...I can tell you that I will miss this stage as after 32+years of being married to my tropphy wife I couldnt afford a divorce.
It is a bonus that Lilly is a girl.....as I was too macho to produce girls....I hear that when you get older its gets even harder to make boys..but Luke...You managed to have Trevor who is a genius and its really fun watching him go throught the music business with all of the buzz.
We are busy babyproofing the pad and ready to do whatever we can to be involved in thsi exciting time. (Plus its good practice for GRANDKIDS!!!!!) Brian and Shelle take note.
I am being a little funny but I take it as an honor and a real responsibility.
When you guys come to the forum Bash both Trevor Lukather is going to play and my other godson Kevin Morse will be making his debut. Steve says Kevin can pick faster than him. I am also godfather to Alberts children....There are times when people question the Music Man no handshake deal with artists but I think in a very small way this lets you know that the relationships here are tremendously deeper than just Artist/manufacturer......
Luke is right we have been through everything together over the last twenty years. As Richard Simmons would say "its been a rainbow of experiences" Ok he didnt say that.
but I hope that neither one of us decides to write a tell all book.
Thanks for sharing and congrats to Luke & Poppa. I'm really enjoying my new Lukes. Thanks for designing and sharing such great instruments with us Knuckleheads.
A couple of years ago, at age 52, I had my first, a baby boy. Coolest little guy in the world. This past spring, I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer. Had surgery this summer, they tell me, I am now cancer free. Luckily, except for one month off, I have been able to gig through the whole process. Am I a lucky man ?
Well, hell yeah ! ! Trust me, the only thing worst than getting old, is NOT getting old. M.S.
