OK finally, those clips you wanted...I tried to keep it simple, however I had company and I was into the wine. Basically I am running through a Boutique Clean amp setting, with a touch of reverb and delay. I used all three pup settings throughout, as you can hear. Also, please excuse the recording, I used the external mic, whilst leaning the 8 track up against the speaker. I could have gone direct, but this way you get to hear exactly what I hear. Now I left a little surprise for you at the end, since you told me to go easy on the Tonelab, I felt I had to give you a taste of, well whatever...off to bed.

For You

That was great Raz! Thanks a million! I know that wasn't easy for you time wise, which makes me appreciate it all the more.
I especially like the ending!!! LOL ;) :)
You are a sub-fan, but a true supporter or the Sub 1s!!!

Yes. Thanks.
They are thick sounding then I think I'm looking for. Obviously because of the humbuckers over single coils. I'm a little more stratty in my taste, but I still might buy it since I like what you did at the end of the clip better! I wouldn't be playing clean that much. I want to rip it!!!! But it's nice to mellow out every now and then though.
Yes everybody's cleans are different. For me clean is the base tone undistorted with no effects. Then you could always build on it.
I may end up buying a Sub then adding a Silo to the collection instead of trading in the Sub. Time will tell.
Thanks again. That really helped. :)

Definately the buckers influence over the tone is undeniable, hence my sadness over my stupid moves...back to the regret post I guess

Razzy Boy! What the heck are you talking about????
Please don't regret posting this! It's helped me a lot!!! What you did for me was all that I needed. It was perfect. You don't need to sell me on the guitar, as I do love it. I'm just trying to get as much flexibility as I can for my few bucks, until I can get the full dream rig! ;)
So don't be sad, and don't regret the playing! Even though I was asking for cleans, I loved what you did at the end. :D :D :D
As I said before on at least one thread, I'll probably be buying the Sub, then upgrade my amp then get the Silo, then shortly after that.....

Well glad I misunderstood your post!
I do think you Silo S-S-S was sold for a reason one way or another.
I do think a Silo H-S-H or even a S-S-H would be better suited to you.
and Cheers to good wine! and plenty of it!!!! :p

Hey Raz (or anyone)

Aside from all the obvious cool effect, does your tone lab in some way give you the ability to give the guitar a bright sound?

ie: make the humbucker sound like a single coil to some degree???

Hmmm, I know my Boss ME-50(which is for sale BTW) has a tone modifier, tones like Hollow, Acoustic, S-H and H-S (I assume that means single to hum and hum to single) and many others, however the tonelab only has certain features like Acoustic tones. I must say the tonelab has given me such a thick sound that last night I thought I was playing a Jazz Box. I tried the Acoustic preset with my SUB 1 and I was floored...no effects, plain as day but thicker then clotted blood, baby!

Maybe an EQ can help...I haven't tried. There is a Tele Twang preset, I can check it out and see?

I'm going to sell a few items on the Bay, and hopefully I'll be able to track down a Silo S-S-S, either that or mod my SUB 1, and turn it into a Strat KILLER...MUHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA. BTW yesterday I visited a used music store and tried a few Strats, and these mothers were beaten up and worn thin, and priced way higher than the SUB's but man I wouldn't even consider getting one, not worth it, in my eyes.

Perhaps once I mod my SUB and post pics, BP will reconsider :D
