I think the knobs are replacements as well.... My cousin to yours with it's red headed step cousin OLP (that's been sold).

The neck pickup is not stock.

Agreed...the stock neck pickup is black. It's a shame really. :( The stock neck pickup is awesome. I'd be curious to know what the previous owner thought was 'better'.

Regardless, if you like the tone and are happy with it, than that's all that really matters. Congrats on picking up a great axe!!

Perhaps it did not come with a neck pickup?
I will be doing the same with mine soon enough.
Putting a neck pup in and modifying the scratch plate to take it.
Can't wait it will be killer with a neck pickup, I really can't live without a neck pickup.
I got mine 2nd hand cheap from a mate so I didn't have any choice in it but if I was buying it from shop I would have got twin humbuckers with the trem option.
Single pup hard tail is what I have in cinnamon.
I haven't took any photos of it yet or made a thread about it.
Had it nearly a month too. Gah!.. Soon...

Nice Sub 1 Q :D

Next time you change strings, pull the pickguard up (scratch plate for you English blokes) and see if the neck pup is a DiMarzio or a Duncan or ??. I'm curios to know what it is. Should say on the back of the pup what it is, model # or something identifiable.
