This one arrived at my doorstop yesterday - I was going to order a new white one, but then two of these came up on ebay at the same time and I couldn't pass it up.

So, do I have to grow a soul patch or wear a beret now? :)

No beret required, but you might consider an Avanti Shirt
.

It really is - I like it a lot. I need to give it a good cleaning, though - slight funk in the case...

Funny - I'm beginning to wonder myself; last night I saw a bassist
wearing a beret. That's the 2nd time in one month.

I think I've seen pics of our own Larry & Jack wearing them as well ??

That's a hell of a bass for a first bass. Happy playing!

I guess bassists in berets is bad, but at least your bands haven't been doomed to play in the hardcore scene where all bassists can and must wear blue bandanas, black hair dye, plugs in the holes in their ears and sport way too many bad tats. Actually typing that, I think I'm coming around. Think they'd accept me if I sported a bandanna like Tupac? You know, tied in the front. White....THUG LIFE....uh I mean, yeah.....

...Ok back to my treehouse...

I'm curious, having not actually seen a Sparkle finish in person...

...is the pictured 'sparkling' an effect of the camera, or does the finish really stand out like that?

My black sparkle is nice, but more subtle in person, without light hitting it directly. But when the lights hit it, it dances!

That's just the sunlight - no flash on it...
