It began on May 19th with a call to my dealer... Placed the order for a fretless BC HSp Bongo 4... Time was estimated to be 10-12 weeks...

Lots of talk on this forum about lead-times being more like 4-5 months - I start thinking I'll be lucky to see it before we run through September...

Well, exactly 12 weeks to the day my dealer has it in his hands! I am one to two days shipping from him and expect to have it in my hands by Friday night! Woo-hoo!

TI Jazz Flats at the ready - This is going to be a GREAT weekend! :D

Out For Delivery!

Keeps getting better and better! :D

Thanks for the support guys... I'm here bursting with excitement and have no-one to share it with! Well, except my guitar player buddies who are only mildly interested. ;)

Comments tonight and pics this weekend...

I got "the call" when I was at my parents house in Indiana. The only problem was, my parents house is 700 miles away from my dealer. I think I played the msg:"The day is here...your fretless Bongo is in! Come on down!" a million times before I got home. Congrats man!

The "better & better" train just rode right off the tracks... :(

I got lines... Didn't want lines... Didn't ask for lines... I got lines...

{heavy sigh}

Won't know how it'll be handled until tomorrow. I'm totally sure my dealer will take care of it, but for right now I'm a bit bummed...

Nah... I picture something much more violent when Psycho get's the call... the explosion could probably level a city block (Psycho + Bongo = Weapon of Mass Destruction!)

That sucks... but you can take comfort in one thing... EBMM will take good care of you!
Don't I know it - I actually just got an after-hours return call from my dealer - he's already on it and corrective action is in the works! :)

Lines aside, the tone from this thing is INCREDIBLE! And the piezo bridge - oh my!

Only spent a few minutes with it - back in the box it goes... And the wait begins...

Again... ;)

Man, if Psycho has to put his back in a box, he'll take out more than a city block. Postal workers would probably be making jokes about him.
