On Order:
30th Anniversary StingRay

Looks like it's time to edit your signature. I know how you feel, I have had mine 2 weeks and it is definitely now my "go to" bass now. #1 pony in the stable, the big kahuna, pick of the litter, daddy's baby, the cat's meow. By the way, did I say I like it. The tone just oozes out of the thing. Can it get any better?? I'm thinking BFR with mahogany body and an HH configuration.......................Smokin'

Yeah, it is time to edit that sig. can someone please explain to me BFR? I saw it int he other thread, but dont fully understand what it means or is all about......

that being said, I love the sound of the single H 'Ray and I dont think I personally would want it any other way. Im actually nervous I wont like my DD as much since the 30th is the first Ray Ive owned and Im infatuated with it

Y'know, there are only two things wrong with this bass.

1) It's missing a string.
2) It doesn't look like a toilet seat.

I want an Open House Bongo 5 SO BAD!!!!!! And that's what it was...same finish and materials as the 30th.

I played a 30th last summer, and I have to say that I'm darned glad it wasn't a 5 string. It killed.

And of course, BP has in effect said that a Bongo like that will not happen for the forseeable future. I think he's got it in for me, just for making noise about what I want to see in a bass. Pretty much every time I've come up with a serious suggestion it's been summarily shot down or ridiculed in some fashion. Pretty much.

But I've got a surprise for him...hehehe. All the clues are in past postings. Anyone care for a scavenger hunt?

I'll buy a new set of Slinkys (winner's choice) for anyone who can figure out what I'm referring to. Unless it's BP, of course. But he's too smart to post even if he does figure it out.

Wow, you've got a beautiful bass there, and another incredible one coming. Don't worry, it's like having kids, you'll love them all!

I was tempted to buy one to enhance my room as well, but the wife wouldn’t go for it. She said “are you crazy, you want to buy a right handed bass you can’t play?” I almost slipped and said “But Honey, I can’t play all the other ones either”, but caught myself.
A remark like that would have let to the lefty bass sale of the century. So I ordered a DD instead and have the pocket change ready for a 20th SR5… I do love my MusicMan’s! :D
