Hi all, cool forum you have here. I bought my Stingray in '77 B004671. Still gig with it almost exclusively. I notice there is a serial # directory for bass, but what about guitar? I have a MM 6 string from about the same time. Thanks.

Welcome to our madness...

There was a (bad) website that a MM guitar enthusiast had for a very short time, but it seemed to fizzle out years ago. It's still out there, you just have to google it. Last time I saw it there was like two pages to the site, and very little worthy info and only one or two pictures. The Stingray guitar just didn't catch-on.

tkarter,

Ernie Ball has no records of preEB serial numbers, this site really isn't going to help him.

The best thing he could do is unbolt the neck and check for the manufacture date stamps.
