So I just ordered a Carbon Blue Luke w/ matching head stock to accompany my Silhouette. That means I shall have a proper pair of ballz :D :D . I cant wait to get the thing, but I DO have to wait those 3 months, maybe even longer since the NAMM show is going on. But anyway, I think that the wait wont be such a problem for me the second time since I already have my Silo which I am in love with. Pete, thanks for the awesome deal!!! The best thing about it is that I will probably get it around my birthday which is in May. It's my 21st, so like Pete said "what better way to celebrate than to get s*&()ty with Luke" :) .

I ordered a Silo Special from Pete in mid-November. Counting EBMM factory downtime for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, and the NAMM show, my Silo should arrive right around my birthday, March 4th. (I'm just a wee bit older than you--I'll be 49.)

Happy Birthday to both of us. :D

doubleR, nice choice for the Silo Special, and happy b-day as well. What kind of specs do you have on the Silo? And Pete is an awesome guy, isnt he.

Hey Tristan, thanx. YOU actually helped me to choose getting the Luke quicker based on some of your videos. Your tone was awesome and it definatly sounded like the Luke is a very versatile beast. And than of course I managed to try one out, and it was amazing for like 5 minutes. That's all I really needed to know that it is an awesome guitar.

Toto Head, the candy Red is also a nice color and nice choice. At least the way I saw it in the pics, since I have not seen it in person. It's crazy how one color can come out like 1000 different shades of that color in pictures.

sort of off topic, but Tristan, were you featured in Young Guns back in the early 1990s in Guitar School magazine?

I think I personally bought the Luke because I was s**t faced at the time, and felt like I needed some EMGs, some alder, rosewood, some kind of a weird looking tremolo, and some kind a neck that seems to have the chicken pox or some typa S**t. Well, as me'za typa dis s**t, me'za s**t faced!!!! Friday I worked until 5, (RANDOMLY ordered the Luke from Pete at around 11:30AM, based on the above criteria) than I jammed with my friend from 7PM until 11:30PM (during that time got s**T faced while playing some Satriani on some Jack Daniels), then I met with some chicks and buddies and got s**t faced further until about 7:30AM this morning. Than I got home at like 8AM, took a shower and went strait to el wurko, where I am now still digesting the whiskey, rum, and beer, and hot chicks legs.

P.S. This message is quite random, and i belve it shows that me'za purty messed in da hed! Sorry!

Same here!!! :p
All kidding and drunkness (that drunkness part and not sleeping AT ALL this last night is TRUE) aside, I cant wait for the Luke. It's going to be freakin amazing. I hope it's peppered as hell with birdseye, like Beej's one. Tristan, I KNOW you're with me on this one no matter WHAT state of mind one is. :D :D

Keith, do you have any photo's of your guitars that I could see?

Colin

I know that the blue dawn is on a thread somewhere. Also the sunburst piezo. Norm took both of them. And I think the Carbon blue piezo is on an open house thread somewhere.
Try search function maybe.

Not sure if the purple one has been photographed and posted. Got one around here somewhere in a drawer or closet.

Yea, the purple one would be nice to see. Is it the same Purple that Vinnie Moore has on his Silo Special? But right now nothing can get my mind off of the the Carbon Blue anf then when I will have it next to my Vintage Sunburst Silo beast....... just f***in awesome me tells you!!! That means I have to buy that damn camera before the Luke arrives. Damn!!! Must go rob some old lady (that's a freakin joke which is probably not funny, but that's why the other name I use for myself is Grimlord (and I'm still drunk and seeing all kinds of s**t)).
