Hello Everyone, I just ordered my first EBMM guitar. I ordered a new JP6 in Pearl Red burst. I looked at a lot of topics on this forum to help me decide which guitar to order. I have never played the JP6. I was going to get a Silhouette which I have played but didn't like the color choices available to order from MF so I started looking into the the Luke, JP, etc. I ordered from MF and it is supposed to be here around 3/14. I didn't realize when I ordered it that the new JP6's will have stainless steel frets it sounds like this is very recent so I am wondering if mine will have this.

Congrats, you will not be dissapointed! I had also never played a JP before I bought one, it's a very cool guitar. I think if you only just ordered it, it will have stainless steel frets.

I would ask and make sure they know that's the expectation and that's what you want.

Yeah, I didn't realize when I ordered it that this was a new feature or I would have asked. I ordered it and talked to the guy on the phone. He said there was a shipment coming in at the end of February and that I would get it around March. So I would assume these would have the new SS frets. I doubt they will be able to tell me if I call and ask.

Also thanks for the replies and I will post pictures when it arrives.

Congrats on the guitar! I think the new SS fret versions will ship in March, if I remember correctly.
