That should be eating pizza with Pete, not Pizza Pete

His Dargie Gold Roller just arrived, and man is it....well you'll have to wait for him to post pictures, but I will say this,it has the greatest neck I have ever seen. And the pictures he posted of the one that arrived yesterday don't do this guitar justice. I myself generally hate gold hardware, but this is a match made in heaven.

I also saw a DD2 BFR JP6 (sorry not yours Brad). It also looks amazing in person.

As for me, I just sold my Rosewood neck JP6 and ordered something very cool, but that's 3-4 months away so no picture anytime soon. AJ, can I have extra, extra quilt?:D

So then, Pete gets chicken grease on other people's instruments but he prefers pizza grease on his own?

Well my six week old baby is with us, so you don't want to know what's all over Pete's guitars

It was great hanging with you at the store today, thanks for stopping in! Hopefully your order doesn't take too long to arrive. I'm off to play my Dargie Gold Roller!

Enjoy that guitar, it is sick!!!! That neck is just un-freakin-real. I'll be patiently waiting for my extra, extra quilted JP6 BFR to arrive:D. Thankfully I'll have the new DD2 JP6 BFR in a few days to tide me over until December.

Thanks for the pizza and the hospitality, and of course thanks for putting up with the 5 diaper changes. Lisa sends her thanks as well.

Oooh, you're getting a Quilt Top Cherryburst? That's gonna be a beauty. You gave up the RW for it correct?

and with the GR

Since there isn't any birdseye should I call CS and send it back for a new neck?

(hahahahaha)

I've seen a few flame necks make their way through in the past couple of weeks, and when I lifted the guitar out of the case Jonah started laughing. I then flipped it over and my eyes went as wide as saucers.

Fantastic job EB, thank you so much for such an awesome axe!

Those photos are great, but in person the flame in the neck looks 3 dimensional.

Pete's not lying, I really started laughing as he pulled it out of the case, it was so unreal I couldn't come up with the proper reaction. I then told Pete, "I'd order a JP6 instead of the Cherry Burst JP BFR if I could be guaranteed a neck like that".

I've been playing guitar for 23+ years and worked in music stores through out the 1990's, and in person Pete's neck on his DD2 Gold Roller is the best maple neck I have ever seen. Soooooo envious. The whole guitar is amazing. All you guys who ordered DD2 Gold Rollers are going to be floored when you open your cases for the first time.
