Since there isn't any birdseye should I call CS and send it back for a new neck?

(hahahahaha)

I've seen a few flame necks make their way through in the past couple of weeks, and when I lifted the guitar out of the case Jonah started laughing. I then flipped it over and my eyes went as wide as saucers.

Fantastic job EB, thank you so much for such an awesome axe!

Wow - that DD2 Gold Roller turned out very nice; that color really fits the shape, gold pickups/hardware, etc.

I love flamed necks. Pete, just wait until you put some play time on that baby, get some oil and dirt into that flame, it's gonna look unreal.

Hey Pete, so how do the two differ in sound? I guess I should restate that...how does the ebony FB affect the sound?

I'm not really sure how to describe the small differences in sound, but the difference in feel is wonderful! While the ebony is hard under the fingers like maple, bending is super smooth and easy on the fingers like rosewood.

Oooh, you're getting a Quilt Top Cherryburst? That's gonna be a beauty. You gave up the RW for it correct?

-Phil

Yeah I sold the Rosewood. I loved that neck, I really did, and I've been playing unfinished maple necks for 20+ years with a disdain for finished necks, but I love the JP BFR necks. I find I like them even more than the JP maple necks.

I have no idea what's different about them from other finished necks, but there is something different. It took me about 5 minutes to adjust to my first one and I realized as amazing as the Rosewood is, I just kept going back to the JP BFR.

I also posted about my dislike of the Cherry Burst, and then I woke up a few days ago and found I loved it. Must be my left-handedness confusing myself.

I saw your guitar today Jonah. I stopped by Dubaldos on the way to Salem, Massachusetts. (gonna bag me some witches) and it must have been hard to let it go. The orange firemist with the all rosewood neck is phenomenal. Almost as good as my sterling silver.:p
I also got to see a BFR dargie II JP and pics don't do these guitars justice. I cannot wait to get mine. It's a true work of art.
