I sold my 30th Anniversary Ray some months back, as I needed some fundage to finance straight teeth for my son. Played around with some Rays every now and again in various GCs during lunch breaks, regretting the one I let get away.

Fast forward to today, I recieved an unexpected bonus check for referring a new hire into my company. As a result, I pulled the trigger on a NOS 30th that was in a back room at a GC in Florida. Back in the saddle again!

BP is right, the 30th truly is a special instrument. About once a week I'd look at photos of my old one, thinking, "why did I sell this bass?" Bovinehost, you're right too - I'm lucky to have found this one; an employee at the Clearwater store ordered it for himself and then quit before buying it, so it just sat in the packing box staying new for me! Oli, I was amazed to see there was still one available too, the manager @ the local GC was very helpful in helping me track one down.

This one will be passed down to one of the kids when I croak. I'll let them fight it out!

That's a good story-- congratulations! Don't let this one get away.
