How do I keep it stiff so the trem bar doesn't jangle? I've tried tightening the allen key screw on the block, and it does work, but it still comes loose after a few whammys. Would that be normal? Any other way to keep it stiff without having to reach for that screw every so often?

Strange, because on my SUB I tightened the trem arm several years ago and I never had to do it again.
Perhaps the screw is worn.

There is a screw in the tip on the bottom of the arm bushing underneath, in the trem cavity. try tightening that.

I like it to drop when I let go, but not swing freely. Like the post above, I set it once and it's been fine since
