Man, sorry to hear that and hope your dog gets well, like has been said I much prefer dogs to people most of the time and my dog is family as it is with many, Dobies are a great breed so misunderstood.
Sending out hopeful and healing thoughts! I'm so sorry to hear this. My 6 month old Schnauzer puppy is set to be spayed Friday. This is not what I want to hear right now. I'm a nervous wreck over it. I too much prefer dogs over most people. Hope she gets to feeling better soon. She's beautiful.
Really sorry to hear it man- I love dogs, we've always had them too and it really hurts to see them in pain. Fingers crossed for you and I really hope everything gets better.
I know how you feel, while we were in hospital with Tom one of our dogs got diagnosed with epilepsy, crazy stuff. Just what we needed. I hope it all goes well for you.
Oh yeah....definitely some dog lovers up in here!
I have 2 that think they OWN the house (they actually do)
Wishin' you guys the best! Keep us updated...
I know exactly how you feel and it truly sucks. My Golden Retriever was diagnosed with cancer just a few days before my mom was diagnosed. I really hope everything goes well for you. Hang in there!

So sorry. What also sucks is they don't know what's going on, and there's no way to tell them. But they continue to look at you and take away all the concerns that you have, and ask for so little in return.
My black lab/rott mix spent the last half of 2006 fighting some hind quarters/back issues. Steroids, reduced activity was perscribed to help, and it did. But when he started to pant constantly and have rapid respiration even while sleeping, we knew there was more going on. After having an MRI done, we were told he had two herniated discs in his back, and it turns out the panting and rapid breathing were likely because he was in a lot of pain. After agreeing to the surgical option, and having to deal with all the concerns that come with anesthetizing dogs, he had sugery and came home after three days. To say I wasn't in good shape while he was in surgery would be an understatement.
Ultimately though, he came through just fine, and today you wouldn't even know he had the problem. So while things are awful right now, know that they can get better. Best of luck.
She seems to be doing better. Still very lethargic and not eating, but not throwing up as much, and the vet seems more confident that we have a chance. We'll find out more on Friday.
