OK Folks...I'm new to the fold so bear with me please...my understanding of the term "Knucklehead" goes only so far as to what it may mean when talking with those that ride Harley Davidsons and know that they were the engines of said bikes during the late 30's and early 40's.

Also, to those of us that love the Stooges, we all know what Knuckleheads are...it goes without saying :p

...and I've been called one myself from time to time under varying circumstances.

But, with all that being said...in the parlance of this forum and owners of EB/MMs, what in the heck is meant by Knuckleheads on this forum ? I hear the term bantied about as a term of endearment (I suspect), but in searching for several days...the answer just isn't coming to the surface...

I'm all ears...please enlighten me.

It's really a term of endearment used by Ernie Ball CEO Sterling Ball towards fans like us here. Moe Howard from the 3 Stooges also used the term and this probably predates the Harley Davidson reference.

One time, we even had this sign in the lobby of a hotel.

I was always hoping that this term is some kind of funny version of it's meaning?

When I use Google Translator, it's kind of bad word in my language!

I still use "forumites" quite a bit but am never quite sure if those are the ones on the floor of the cave or the ones that hang from the ceiling.

Ceilings.

Forumites also sounds like a flooring material... or a substance found in toothpaste (really, really bad toothpaste...)
