My #1 amp of choice over the last 10 years has been AC30/AC15. I use Mesa, Fender, racks, multistomps and others successfully, but have still maintained my love for the Vox. Please share your EBMM/VOX love with me...
Like last night, I was diggin' my Luke w/my AC15HTV. And am really wondering what those tween sounds from the JPX will sound like in VOX land...

I was able to play my Axis SS through a HW AC30. Beautiful

tones. I heard the HW White tolex AC/15 and 30's are to be

released again soon? They are keeper's, once you have one

it would be hard to let it go, Same as my Music Man guitars.

Love the sound of a good AC30, can be magic.

Don't have one, but my Guytron's A channel is voiced like one- chimey as hell and dripping with overtones. Brilliant.

Had a VOX AC4 for a few months....excellent overdrive sounds, but I think I prefer US style clean sounds. An AC30 is something I'd like to try, but probably too loud for me.

My son had the 30 watt Valvetronix and now has a 50 watt version. A great fun amp to have if you have a limited budget.
I'm gonna try it live tomorrow at a jam night - see how it performs.

+1 , The 50W Vox VT has Awesome low & Mid range tones. It actually

sounds great live, It's made in Vietnam and the quality is there. They cut

a few corners to keep the cost down, IE: Tolex covering and probably a

few things inside that you wont see. But ! once you get a few tones dialed

in, you can bank them for future use and I for sure dig the Attenuator in

the back of the amp ! For home use or live once you have the tones dialed

in you can adjust the Attenuator for blastability ! or neighbourhood volumes.

I'm not sure how the amp performs mic'd. like others have advised though it

would be wise to take your guitar into your local shop if they have one and

jam with it there. It's a great little amp, I'm just not sure how road worthy it

is though. Good luck

Queen is my favorite band ever so it's probably no surprise that I love Vox (hence my screen name lol). I don't own one, but I shall one day.

However, my Mesa is the DC3, which has el84s. I've played enough AC30s to know that I'm pretty much sitting with the best of both worlds with my amp. I've got vox-like attributes in a Mesa. I'd love to try a Brian May guitar through my rig. I have all the gain and sustain despite not getting it the way he does (boosters driving the front end of a class A amp VERY HARD.)
